Initiative and Creativity are both qualities that I have cultivated for years through my work and a natural desire to improve my expressive abilities.
Professional knowledge is part of my drive to acquire new understanding and awareness of my chosen profession, in order to consistently improve my level of competency.
My Problem Solving Skills are present by virtue of my analytical and logical way of thinking, but have also been refined through the intensely analytical nature of my course and my past work (scripting, designing, repair and troubleshooting).
Patience and Determination come naturally to me, and are exercised extensively in the work I do.
Organisational skills are vital in my field, poor organization means taking longer to find files, modify documents, discern functions, analyse problems and devise solutions, so strong organizational systems are something that I believe in and employ in most everything that I do.
From an early age I was intrigued by the precise design evident in the natural world and greater universe. I believe it was this natural curiosity that fuelled my intellectual development and resulted in my desire to create.
Later in my curricular life, I was introduced to the computer world and discovered within it a host of powerful creative tools, which extended themselves to the functional realms of web design, graphic design, and interface design.
So it is in this field of visual and experiential communication that I have applied myself and continue to apply myself.
Additionally as a dedicated Christian I believe in a strong work ethic and a spirit of excellence.
What separates me from most others in this industry is my knowledge and understanding
in the fields of cognitive and behavioural science,
low level ubiquitous psychology, group dynamics as well as both biological and social motivation.
It is by virtue of these persistent studies that I am able to model the users experience on both a cognitive level
and an experiential level.
Chasing down the elusive X-Factor and naming it... giving weight to what many of my colleagues have found mysterious
by taking apart the users perceptions from the cellular level up to the conceptual level.
For instance: many others with my technical skill set may be able to tell you WHAT they like about a media device,
but not WHY they like it, down to the biological level, nor why others would or would not like it.
And I believe this sets me apart from my contemporaries.
Having studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Mass Communications I am able to analyse in small chunks the detail
behind the facade and present the findings in a clear and concise manner.
Having taken apart and reassembled complex machinery, computers, programming, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional
design as well as words, deeds and thoughts I have found a pattern for analysis that has not yet failed to provide solution
and reason.
And with many years of design experience behind me I can say that I am technically and intellectually more than up for any
challenge that presents itself.
